Major trade for star player Clayton Keller? The NHL has just dropped a huge hint and the verdict may have fallen
This has certainly been a big story this summer, those serious trade rumors involving the Arizona Coyotes' star forward Clayton Keller.
Where do they come from? Simple. His father reportedly publicly declared that his son would never play a game for the Coyotes again.
It seems to be only a matter of time before Keller is traded, but not so fast.
Major information dropped by the NHL?
In a text published yesterday by the official NHL website, there is a surprising passage:
This would confirm that Keller will NOT be traded after all.
However, it has never been publicly announced that Keller is the new captain in Arizona. Indeed, the team has been without a captain for about two years.
Many here believe this to be an accidental announcement.
Are the Coyotes about to announce the appointment of Keller as captain? It sure seems that way, and if it is confirmed, you can guess that it would quickly put an end to the trade rumors involving him.
