Kent Hughes, however, is not in a hurry to trade him. Anderson, who is only 28 years old, has four seasons left on his deal at $5.5 million each. He will become free agent after the 2026-2027 season.
The GM could however move in this file if and only if he receives an offer that he cannot refuse. This offer could come more this summer than by March 3rd.

As mentioned above, patience is required in the case of Anderson, but we should not wait too long. It is true that he is relatively young but he could very well become a liability for the team in a short time. Given his physical style of play, his 30's could very well catch up to him and, a bit like Brendan Gallagher, hurt the club's payroll in the last years of his contract.
For these reasons, it would be surprising if Anderson finishes his contract in the blue-white-red uniform. It would also be surprising if the separation with the CH is done in the next two weeks, but you never know...
