Major decision in front of the Montreal Canadiens' net: Renaud Lavoie has just revealed a scoop
It was a significant issue for the Montreal Canadiens in this 2023 training camp, and it's now resolved.
The team will start the season with three goalies in its lineup: Samuel Montembeault, Jake Allen, and Cayden Primeau.
Primeau is genuinely the one who had the best camp.
On this topic, TVA Sports reporter Renaud Lavoie had some news last night.
According to his sources, the Canadiens have apparently postponed the problem but still plan to make a significant decision on this matter and decide. (within a month, possibly)
A situation that will change and an upcoming decision from the Habs
"One shouldn't believe, at least from what I hear, that it will persist over time, that in three weeks, a month, we'll be in the same context." - Renaud Lavoie
A goalie will eventually be moved, but which one?
The trade market is currently very active, still according to Renaud.
The "market" could instead give the Canadiens the chance to strike good deals in the coming days.
"There are teams in the National League that are in very precarious situations in front of the net. They are dissatisfied with young goalies, they have injuries."
- Renaud Lavoie
This will be a topic to watch, a matter that would not be resolved yet.
Kent Hughes brilliantly avoided placing Primeau on waivers and losing him for nothing, but he will eventually need to make a "move."
We're eager to see what follows, but Renaud seems to think a trade is definitely possible.
And you, which one would you trade? Montembeault, Allen, or Primeau?
