In the last few minutes, as reported by the excellent Frank Seravalli, the Winnipeg Jets have announced that they will not go to arbitration with their forward Pierre-Luc Dubois. Wow.
This therefore confirms, unsurprisingly, that a trade is imminent, and everything indicates that Dubois will have a new team within two weeks.
Let's remember that the Montreal Canadiens are leading this race to acquire Dubois, but other teams are to be considered and are very interested, like the Los Angeles Kings for example.
As for today's announcement related to the arbitration that the Jets have given up, it's logical because Dubois' demands are very clear: he wants to sign long-term, but he doesn't want to sign in Winnipeg.
Dubois, 24, is a 3rd overall pick in 2016. He accumulated 63 points in 73 games this season with the Winnipeg Jets. (27 goals)
