These are all proposals from Montreal journalists, fans, and observers, and from people who have a much greater interest in the Canadiens than in the Jets.
This leads to less realistic suggestions because nothing indicates that Winnipeg would accept these trades.
In the last few minutes, journalist Murat Ates, who covers the Jets and has excellent contacts within this organization, launched his trade proposal.
Let's just say we are far from those that we see circulating here in Montreal.
Clearly, the Jets are going to demand more than we think, in exchange for Pierre-Luc Dubois.
Ates notably mentions this very interesting point:
However, he then adds that this is the beginning of a disappointing conversation for the Jets' GM and it does not promise well for a trade.
The Winnipeg journalist also adds that the perfect target would be Kirby Dach, but that the latter will certainly not be included in an offer by Kent Hughes.
That said, see his final proposal:
A proposal that we would refuse right away.
Ates admits that he has a lot of difficulty finding a trade proposal that fits with what the Jets want.
So, it seems that this will be complex.
Heinola, 22, was the 20th overall pick in 2019 by the Jets. He collected a solid 37 points in 48 games this season in the AHL and he has 11 points in 35 career games in the NHL.
