Alert: last minute signing of another young goaltender and it is Ty Young
Just hours before their preseason game, the Vancouver Canucks have just announced the signing of another goaltender.
They too are starting to have several.
Their general manager, Patrik Allvin, announced that Vancouver has signed the young Ty Young to a three-season contract (entry-level contract).
Clearly, he convinced them with his performance at the rookie camp.
Young, 19 years old, is a young goalkeeper of 6 feet 3 inches and 184 pounds. He was drafted in 2022 and has been solid in the WHL, for the Prince George Cougars.
One to watch.
So, this is a second goaltender added to the Canucks' roster in a short time, after Vancouver acquired goalkeeper Casey DeSmith from the Montreal Canadiens (last September 19th).
