The former Montreal Canadien forward, Corey Perry, can still contribute to his team's success, and he is proving it with the Edmonton Oilers in this final.

Let's talk a bit about what happened today, live from Florida, just hours before the crucial Game 7 between the Panthers and Connor McDavid's squad.

On the Panthers' side, goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky was missing.

But that's not all.

According to the journalists present, during the Panthers' practice, the atmosphere was rather unusual, and there didn't seem to be as strong a sense of unity within the team.

Completely United Edmonton Oilers, Thanks in Part to Corey Perry

On the other hand, the journalists were unanimous about the Oilers.

The contrast between the Panthers' and Oilers' practices was stark.

Today, the Edmonton team held an intense, well-executed practice, and above all, it was a session where the atmosphere was exceptional.

The players were extremely focused, concentrated, while also having fun playing hockey and preparing for the most important game of their lives.

The enjoyment was palpable.

Today, we saw the Edmonton Oilers in full control of the situation, and it was even reflected during the day's press conferences (notably with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl).

See, for instance, one of the scenes that caught attention towards the end of the Oilers' practice, once again led by a certain Corey Perry.

"Corey Perry giving a tap to everyone during the stretches. Last practice day of the Oilers' season."

It's really beautiful to see! Classic Corey Perry.
