The Panthers announce the signing of a goalie in the middle of the Stanley Cup Final

In the last few minutes, the Florida Panthers organization made a notable announcement.

It's always fascinating to note that, even in the midst of the grand Stanley Cup Final some leaders continue to work actively to prepare for the future and to improve their club.

This is evidently the case with Bill Zito.

While his team plays possibly the most important matches in its history, Zito negotiated, behind the scenes, a contract with goalie Ludovic Waeber.

The Panthers sign a goalie!

Indeed, in the last few minutes, the Floridian organization announced the signing of goaltender Ludovic Waeber.

"We have signed goaltender Ludovic Waeber to a one-year entry contract."

Waeber, 26, is a Swiss goalie standing at 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 187 pounds. He has maintained save percentages of 0.918, 0.920, and 0.914 in his last three seasons in the Swiss National League A with Zurich.

He undoubtedly has intriguing potential.
