In the last few seconds, the TVA Sports network reported some very sad news.
"Defender for the Montreal Canadiens during the great dynasty of the 1950s, Jean-Guy Talbot has passed away at the age of 91 late Thursday evening.
An official confirmation from the Canadiens had not yet been issued at the time of writing, but the brother-in-law of the former player indicated to TVA Nouvelles that Talbot was admitted to the hospital on February 16 and that his family did not expect him to pass away in the short term." - TVA Sports
Talbot, who was 91 years old, hailed from Cap de la Madeleine and amassed 285 points (43 goals) in 1056 career NHL games, the vast majority with the Montreal Canadiens.
Over his career, he accumulated 1006 penalty minutes.
We offer our sincerest condolences to Mr. Talbot's family and loved ones.
