Just over three weeks before the NHL Draft, Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens have clearly gotten to work.
It was just revealed that they've invited a first forward from the West to dinner, which says a lot about their interest in him.
We're talking about none other than Carter Bear.
The Canadiens had dinner with prospect Carter Bear in preparation for the 2025 NHL Draft
"And here's even more proof of the Canadiens' interest in Bear.
Because according to Marco D'Amico (RG Media), the Habs took Bear out for a meal to get to know him better."

So we can conclude that Bear is definitely a player of interest for the Canadiens.
He's definitely a name to keep in mind for Montreal Canadiens fans.
Do you think Bear is the kind of player the Canadiens should be targeting?
From what I'm reading, landing him would be a huge win for Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton, especially for a team that needs offensive reinforcements and more physicality.
Carter Bear, 18 years old, is a 6-foot, 179-pound center who recorded 82 points in 56 games this season in the WHL with the Everett Silvertips (77 penalty minutes and a +33 rating).
