In the last few minutes, it has been announced that Jack Hughes, the son of the Montreal Canadiens' general manager, Kent, is changing teams.

He has just agreed to join Boston University, in the NCAA, and is thus leaving Northeastern after a rather disappointing season.

The transfer has just been confirmed:

«Today, we welcome forward Jack Hughes to our program! A second-round pick of the Los Angeles Kings, Jack joins us after having spent two seasons at Northeastern, where he was an All-Rookie selection from Hockey East." - Boston University Hockey

He will therefore play on the same team as possibly the top prospect of the Montreal Canadiens, Lane Hutson. They will be teammates for (at minimum) the next year.

This is promising, and we look forward to seeing them in action.

Hughes, 19 years old, is a 6-foot, 170-pound center drafted 51st overall by the Los Angeles Kings in 2022. He has collected 32 points over the past two seasons in the NCAA.

More details will follow.
