The young man, who is barely 15 years old, has had some quite impressive stats this year. Firstly, at the most recent Canada Games with Yukon, he accumulated no less than 31 points in just 7 games. He added 18 in 16 matches, in his first steps in the WHL with the Medicine Hat Tigers.
Notably, talent seems to be abundant in this family, as McKenna is none other than Connor Bedard's cousin! Imagine if the two became the NHL's headline players in a few years!
However, we will have to wait quite a while, as the young prodigy will not be eligible until the 2026 NHL Draft. Until then, he will take his cousin's place among the upcoming prospects in the league, and the focus will increasingly be on him.
