Acquisition alert: Kent Hughes has just announced the addition of the large Russian goaltender, Yevgeni Volohkin
After having drafted Jacob Fowler and Quentin Miller, now Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens have just drafted a third goaltender today!
You read that right.
This time, it's the young Russian goaltender Yevgeni Volohkin, drafted with the 144th overall pick. He's a large goalkeeper, standing at 6 feet 4 inches tall.
Obviously, the CH liked the available goalkeepers. Here's a good one:
"First time since 1977 that the Canadiens have drafted at least three goalies in a single session. It must be said that at the time, the CH had taken advantage of... 27 picks!"
