MAJOR: the boss of the Jets jumped on the Chicago bus and made a huge gesture towards Connor Bedard
Wow. See what Jeff Agrest of the Sun-Times just reported.
"Darren Pang stated during the Blackhawks game broadcast that the owner of the Jets made a big move. He got on the Hawks bus to personally apologize to
Connor Bedard for the insistent questions from the Winnipeg media about the fabricated rumors in the
Corey Perry situation. (involving his mother)"
It's indeed extremely rare to see this, but hats off to the big boss of the Winnipeg Jets for making this gesture towards Bedard. Bravo!
He was embarrassed by the way the young man was welcomed in Winnipeg, in his facilities, and he wanted to set things right.
Remember, Bedard was so hassled by Winnipeg journalists about the ridiculous rumors concerning his mother and Corey Perry that the youngster lost his patience at a press conference.
Clearly, this did not sit well with the owner of the Jets, and he felt compelled to personally apologize to Bedard, on behalf of Winnipeg, right on the Hawks bus. Classy!
Let's now sincerely hope that this is a resolved issue for Connor Bedard, and that he never hears of it again!
