It may have seemed like a subtle gesture from Tom Wilson (and Josh Anderson), but it definitely didn't go unnoticed.

The video of their handshake is everywhere on the web today, even journalists in California are sharing it.
It's without a doubt a great image for our sport and for the NHL.

After that handshake, Wilson even turned around and gave a small "thumbs up" in the direction of what appeared to be Anderson.

Wilson and the Washington Capitals will now face the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round of the NHL playoffs, as the Hurricanes just eliminated the New Jersey Devils.
