Change of Plans for Kent Hughes as the Canadiens Announce Two Cancellations
Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton of the Montreal Canadiens have just changed their minds ahead of the organization's end-of-season review.
As we reported earlier this afternoon, the Canadiens had announced a press conference scheduled for tomorrow for Hughes and Gorton.
But the plan has already changed.
Change of plans for Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton: the Canadiens cancel both of their press conferences
It's definitely intriguing to see that they've changed their minds.
"Change of plans by the Montreal Canadiens.
The players will still meet with the media Friday morning in Brossard, but Gorton and Hughes will not speak until Monday."

One wonders if they'll have something to announce on Monday or not, but it's clear that this is quite an unusual scenario.
Personally, I don't recall ever seeing this before.. An end-of-season review split over two different days, and nearly three days apart at that! (the players will do theirs Friday, while Hughes and Gorton will speak Monday)
Normally, the end-of-season review day is always one big event, where the players hold press conferences in the morning, and the executives wrap things up with a major press conference in the afternoon.
We'll keep you informed of any developments, but in any case, we're definitely looking forward to hearing what the players have to say tomorrow.
I believe they can be extremely proud of their 2024-25 season, despite the five-game elimination at the hands of the Washington Capitals.
