The Toronto Maple Leafs are now trailing the Boston Bruins 2-1 in their series. Brad Marchand got the better of them, and the crowd did nothing to help.

Head coach Sheldon Keefe and legendary commentator Joe Bowen both had a lot to say about the loss, and the Maple Leafs certainly don't look good right now.

Firstly, following the game, and a controversial penalty called on Tyler Bertuzzi against Brad Marchand, a defeated Sheldon Keefe accepted that the Bruins captain got the better of their team.

Sheldon Keefe on Marchand: "He gets calls. It's unbelievable, actually, how it goes. You've got to play through that stuff. I don't think there's another player in this series who gets away with taking out Bertuzzi's legs the way that he does. It's an art and he's elite at it."

Then, to make things much worse, beloved Maple Leafs broadcaster Joe Bowen called out the fans for their embarrassing enthusiasm:

The idea of going
To any sporting event
To support the home team is to
Be PRO ACTIVE!!!
Give the team energy when they need it Not sitting down waiting
To be REACTIVE. The players can't say it but I will tonight's crowd was VERY DISAPPOINTING

Hearing words like this from one of the most well-respected people in Leafs land must burn for fans and players alike.

Things are a mess in Toronto, and it's hard to blame the fans for not wanting to watch their team be single-handedly taken down by Brad Marchand!
