We have some last-minute bad news to announce involving goaltender Cayden Primeau.
The opportunity he had just received with the Toronto Maple Leafs was possibly his very last chance to become an NHL goaltender - and clearly, it didn't work out at all.
If Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens still had any doubts, they've now received a very clear and definitive answer.
Cayden Primeau is not an NHL goaltender. That's apparently what the Maple Leafs have just realized.

After what happened last night with young Jakub Dobes, we can once again see how lucky we are to have him, and how incredible he's been for the Montreal Canadiens over the past year.
I hope he knows it!
With all due respect, if Dobes hadn't been there and if we still had Cayden Primeau as the #2 goalie in Montreal, things would be tough for the Canadiens.
