Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton have just made an interesting decision: a serious clue about their intentions
As you know, the NHL trade deadline is this Friday, and for the occasion, Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton just made a telling move.
For those of you who are hoping for some hard work in the Montreal Canadiens offices over the next few hours and days, good news!
As just reported by Sportsnet's Eric Engels, the Hughes-Gorton tandem just made an interesting decision.
While the team took off for San Jose in preparation for the Sharks game, Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton decided to return home to Montreal to focus 100% on negotiations and preparations for the trade deadline.
"Off to San Jose, where the Canadians will begin their California trip. Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes will not be participating in this trip as they will be making preparations for the trade deadline directly from their home port. It should be an interesting week. It's already started with the Dadonov-Gurianov trade."
- Eric Engels
That means that as of today, the Canadiens' executives will be in their offices in Montreal and they will be on the phone.
All their focus will be on the trade deadline (to make good deals).
