Kent Hughes made two major trades during this 2025 offseason for the Montreal Canadiens.

There's been a lot of talk about the Noah Dobson trade, but let's also remember that on July 1, Hughes traded young defenseman Logan Mailloux to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for forward Zachary Bolduc.
Following the trade, the Blues practically guaranteed Mailloux a spot in the National Hockey League.
Well, on that topic, in the first episode of "Mathias et le Serpent" with Mathias Brunet and Simon "Snake" Boisvert, the latter actually mentioned that he believes the Blues will change their mind fairly quickly.

The Blues will quickly change their mind about Logan Mailloux and will send him to the AHL, according to the Snake

Here's an excerpt from his exact statement.
"Unless there are injuries and they're forced to keep him, in my opinion, by Christmas, Logan Mailloux will be in the American League."

- Simon «Snake» Boisvert
Do you agree with him?
The Blues seem to have a lot of faith in Mailloux, but Simon Boisvert clearly doesn't share that enthusiasm.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of training camp and preseason schedule Logan Mailloux will have.
That could say a lot about the next steps in his journey.
