We have an interesting development involving forward Christian Dvorak, a name well known to Montreal Canadiens fans.
He has just signed with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Dvorak has clearly had a change of heart after previously expressing his desire to re-sign with the Canadiens.
Instead, he's heading to Philadelphia, agreeing to a one-year, $5.4 million contract offered by Daniel Brière and the Flyers.
It's Official: Christian Dvorak Leaves the Montreal Canadiens and Signs with the Philadelphia Flyers
Quietly, this marks yet another significant loss down the middle for Martin St-Louis' squad.
Considering the salary involved, it's understandable why Dvorak changed his mind and opted not to return to Montreal.
That's the new home for D-Vo, meaning young
Cole Caufield will now need to find a new roommate.
"Christian Dvorak 1 x $5.4 million
Philadelphia."
- Elliotte Friedman
The 29-year-old recorded 33 points in 82 games this season with the Canadiens, including 12 goals and a minus-5 rating.
He added two goals in five playoff games in 2025.
We wish him the best of luck with the Flyers.
"As reported, Dvorak leaves Montreal for a pay raise.
5.4M X 1 with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Best of luck to Christian, but this market is bonkers."
