Latest major development: Matvei Michkov is changing address and he is now a member of the Sochi organization
There has been a major development in the Matvei Michkov case in the last few minutes.
Here is the information from journalist Nicolas Cloutier, from TVA Sports.
A well-informed source in Russia confirms the circulating news: Michkov loaned to Sochi.
This means that after playing only one game with SKA St. Petersburg (KHL), Michkov is moving to Sochi and he will play within the Sochi HC organization.
For the Philadelphia Flyers, his NHL team, this could change everything.
Michkov, 18 years old, the 7th overall pick in 2023, has scored no points this season in his home country.
He had a very turbulent start to the season, being unable to secure an impactful role. Last Friday, Michkov was left out for the third time in four games.
Details to follow.
