Demidov didn't even need three shifts to register his first career point (an assist).

Demidov, for his part, looked truly moved by the moment.
But that's not all.
The NHL had to completely cancel a commercial break because of the goal scored by Alex Newhook, assisted by young Ivan Demidov
As Pierre Houde mentioned on RDS, there was such a frenzy following Demidov's first career point that the NHL outright decided not to go to a commercial break after the 14-minute mark of the period.
That's unheard of-and it speaks volumes about the buzz surrounding this moment.
