Ivan Demidov Made a Meaningful Gesture Today That Has Everyone Talking

He clearly couldn't wait to hit the Bell Centre ice for his very first morning skate as a member of the Canadiens.

These are the kinds of small details I love to notice, this morning, Demidov made a pretty meaningful gesture by being one of the first players on the ice (if not the first).

People were wondering if, like Lane Hutson, he's a true hockey fanatic.. well, it sure looks like it!

He jumped on the ice nearly 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

No wonder he gets along so well with a certain Lane Hutson.

I get the feeling we're going to see those two together on the ice a lot.. especially now that Lane is officially Demidov's "chauffeur":

He even spent several minutes chatting with Trevor Letowski after the morning skate.

It's incredibly encouraging to see that! It says a lot about the young man's drive and attitude.

Now that everything's in place, it's finally time for Ivan Demidov's much-anticipated debut with the Montreal Canadiens, as Connor Bedard, Artyom Levshunov, and the Chicago Blackhawks come to town.

Demidov and the Habs will have a chance to clinch a playoff spot, no less!
