We came across an interesting little piece of information about the player who was once projected as the 1st overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
He's a young goaltender who was once seen as the next
Marc-André Fleury, a possible first overall pick for the 2025 Draft, but he has slightly fallen down the rankings since then.
We also mentioned that D'Aigle clearly stated he would like to be selected by
the Canadiens.
The Canadiens are one of four teams to have summoned Gabriel D'Aigle for a meeting before the draft
The interest seems to be mutual, interesting!
D'Aigle openly confirmed that the Canadiens are one of the only four teams that met with him and showed interest.
The young goalie could be an excellent third- or fourth-round pick with very high potential!
So don't be surprised if it happens and Montreal selects this extremely promising young goaltender next June.
At 18 years old, the 6-foot-4, 211-pound netminder posted a .883 save percentage this season with
the Victoriaville Tigres (QMJHL), along with a goals-against average of 4.52.
It was his "down" season, and his record of 16-33-2 reflects that, but in junior hockey, goalies are often victims of their team's weaknesses and defensive struggles.
D'Aigle's potential remains very high!
