Surprising Mid-Summer Interview Has Been Set for Laine: Time and Date Revealed

Forward Patrik Laine will indeed be available for an interview today, and it will take place at 9pm tonight on 98.5 FM Sports!

The appointment is set, but of course, we will keep you informed of what is said during this interview.

Let's remember that the Montreal Canadiens forward has spent the entire summer in the city, aside from a very brief stay in Finland last week, but let's just say he has been working extremely hard since May.

He is on the ice in Brossard every weekday, and he is always the first on the ice and the last to leave (or almost) along with Ivan Demidov.

Laine has never hidden it, but he loves Montreal..To the point where some observers believe he might possibly accept to sign a discounted contract with the Canadiens, just to stay here for a few more years.

His wife loves it here too!

Let's recall, of course, that his current contract, paying him $8.7 million per year, ends at the end of the 2025-2026 season, but personally I think that if he has a good season and if he is indeed open to staying here at a discount, why not keep him a few more seasons?

We all know his incredible talent, and on top of that, this summer, he is really putting in the effort and work needed to become a dominant player again.

In short, I'm really looking forward to hearing what he has to say tonight, but he will likely once again reiterate his love for Montreal.
