Patrik Laine Set to Leave Montreal Temporarily - and the Reason Is Now Revealed

27-year-old forward Patrik Laine of the Montreal Canadiens has just revealed that he'll be leaving the city shortly.
As you know, Laine and his wife Jordan Leigh Laine made the wonderful decision to spend the entire summer of 2025 in Montreal!
Since the end of last season, aside from one trip down South, Laine and his wife haven't left Montreal. They really love Quebec - and we love to see it!
Laine is also the first to hit the ice in Brossard nearly every day, and he's almost always the last to leave.
That said, don't be surprised or worried if we don't see Laine in Brossard for a little while.
Patrik Laine announces he's packing his bags and leaving Montreal: a temporary stay in Finland
This will be Laine's first return to Finland this summer.
According to information also shared by the outlet Yle, Patrik Laine will soon be heading back to Finland to organize his traditional golf tournament with Florida Panthers forward Aleksander Barkov.
"Laine is expected to arrive in Finland in less than two weeks, as on August 16, he and Aleksander Barkov will be hosting their traditional charity event, the Laine and Barkov Charity Golf, in Nokia."

It's a tournament for a great cause, which is truly commendable on Laine's part! We wish him a lovely trip home and an enjoyable stay in Finland.
We're already looking forward to seeing him again in September, especially for the Canadiens' 2025 training camp.
