We've just learned some interesting news regarding a trade completed by the Montreal Canadiens.
A few years ago, Kent Hughes made a trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins involving Mike Matheson, Jeff Petry, and Ryan Poehling.
It happened on July 18, 2022!
"Jeff Petry and Ryan Poehling were traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins by the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Mike Matheson and a fourth-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft."

Today, a few years later, we've learned that this trade actually shocked Sidney Crosby - and that says a lot about how strong his relationship is with Matheson!
