Ottawa Senators forward Nick Cousins lived up to his reputation last night against the Montreal Canadiens.

It's been said that he made an embarrassing gesture after his fight with Struble at the Bell Centre, but in reality, he did embarrassing things both before and after the fight.
First, Cousins stayed extremely far from the Canadiens' zone during warmups; second, he avoided Arber Xhekaj for most of the game; and third, after his fight with Jayden Struble, he immediately headed to the locker room (the Senators' dressing room).
As several observers pointed out last night, he could very well have gone to serve his five-minute penalty in the penalty box before heading to the locker room, but it was clear he didn't want to face Struble's stare or words there.
Watching the footage, it's obvious that's exactly what happened!
He preferred to "hide" in his team's locker room... unbelievable!
"Jayden Struble puts a beating on Senators' Nick Cousins, who heads directly to the Ottawa locker room afterward."

- Stu Cowan

The Montreal Canadiens players clearly have long memories when it comes to Nick Cousins

It's worth remembering that Cousins deliberately slashed young Ivan Demidov's wrist during a preseason game in Quebec just a few weeks ago...
"Ivan Demidov first dodged a boarding hit by Nick Cousins, then he was slashed on the arm/wrist with a dirty two handed axe chop.

He looked in visible pain afterwards."

Cousins immediately left that game as well, clearly to avoid facing the wrath of Arber Xhekaj...
In short, Jayden Struble set things straight last night - and it couldn't have been more fitting.
