TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie has just made a concerning statement regarding Montreal Canadiens center Jake Evans.

Recall that this has been a rather unclear situation. First, Luc Gélinas (from RDS) broke a scoop revealing that Jake Evans has been dealing with a foot injury for more than three weeks and must see a specialist in Philadelphia for that reason.
Then, we have the Montreal Canadiens announcing that Evans would temporarily leave the team for personal reasons, without mentioning a potential injury.

The personal absence is more at play than the foot injury for Montreal Canadiens forward Jake Evans

Today, Renaud Lavoie had an update. It is obviously worrying to hear, and we truly hope that everything is alright for Evans and his family.
"The Canadiens said that Jake Evans would be absent for personal reasons. It would have been much more «simple» and far less suspicious to mention a sacred lower-body injury.

And according to what Renaud Lavoie said yesterday on the BPM Sports airwaves, during the station's afternoon show, we shouldn't underestimate the words chosen by the organization." - DLC

"I don't want to contradict my friend Luc, but after checking, they are insisting heavily that it is not related to an injury."

- Renaud Lavoie
In short, take note. We are not going to dig further than that, and we will simply reiterate that we sincerely hope everything is alright for Jake Evans and his family.
More details will follow, but this is not what we were hoping to hear.
