We have received more details concerning the new injury announced today by the Montreal Canadiens organization.
In fact, earlier today, the organization referred to an absence "for personal reasons" for forward Jake Evans, but numerous sources have revealed that this absence is related to a foot injury he has been dealing with since November 20.
Jake Evans must meet with a doctor in Philadelphia and will then immediately join the team in New York
This better explains the recall of center Owen Beck on Tuesday night from the Laval Rocket. It is a curious situation.
There is the excellent Marco D'Amico, who mentioned that it could potentially be a long-term injury.
There is the fact that the Canadiens are referring to an absence for personal reasons (and not an injury), and the fact that Owen Beck was recalled in the middle of the Canadiens game while Jake Evans was playing, which is mysterious:
"Owen Beck says he got the call with about 10 minutes left in Habs game last night vs the Lightning, that he was getting called up from Laval Rocket."

For now, here's what RDS reporter Luc Gélinas has reported:
"From what I've learned, Jake Evans has been playing with a foot injury since November 20 (against the Caps).
He must meet with a doctor today in Philadelphia. That explains the recall of a center."

It is truly a strange situation, in any case, but we will be monitoring it closely for you.
For now, according to the official version, Jake Evans should be available for the Montreal Canadiens' matchup against the New York Rangers.
