Penguins Reportedly Interested in Fan-Favourite Member of the Canadiens Organization
While Sullivan has already landed a job with
the New York Rangers, Penguins GM Kyle Dubas is currently working to find his replacement and intends to settle the matter sooner rather than later.
"I hope to name the next head coach of the Penguins by June 1."
- Kyle Dubas
The Pittsburgh Penguins Are Interested in Pascal Vincent, a Well-Liked Name Within the Montreal Canadiens Organization
According to journalist Josh Yohe, who covers the Penguins for The Athletic, the hiring process is already well underway, and some coaching candidates are still active in the AHL playoffs.
"There are some candidates still in the AHL playoffs who interest us and who are also interested in the job."
- Kyle Dubas
Naturally, Vincent comes to mind here.
Could Pascal Vincent become
Sidney Crosby's next coach in Pittsburgh?
It's hard to overlook the Rocket's head coach, who led his team to the AHL championship and was just named Coach of the Year in the league for the second time in his career.
He'll be in high demand, and rightly so, but if the Canadiens can somehow find a way to keep him within the organization, it would be fantastic.
