The Montreal Canadiens have just made an announcement involving forward Patrik Laine.
We mentioned this to you a few minutes ago, but it has just been confirmed.
Laine will again be absent tonight against the Vancouver Canucks, live from the Bell Centre, due to the flu.
This marks the third game Laine will miss because of a mysterious flu, and it's starting to become worrisome.
It seems like quite the flu, to say the least!
This is what the Montreal Canadiens have just confirmed, and these are once again two significant losses for Martin St-Louis's squad.
At this point, let's just hope that Laine feels better soon and that his health improves.
«The Canadiens will be without Patrik Laine (illness) and David Savard (upper body) for a third consecutive game.
Sam Montembeault will start against the Canucks.»

In conclusion, while there's been a lot of focus on Patrik Laine, David Savard will also miss his third consecutive game, in his case due to an upper-body injury.
The Canadiens have not provided an official designation, but he appears to be «day-to-day.»
