A major event is approaching in the hockey world, especially for certain members of the Montreal Canadiens organization. In less than 10 days, all NHL teams will get an extended break during the famous Four Nations Faceoff.
In short, during this long break, Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens will have a decision to make regarding goaltender
Jakub Dobes.
This will be a situation to monitor.
A Decision to Make with Jakub Dobes
I see the benefits of giving Dobes some work in the AHL during these two weeks, but I also see the advantages of simply letting him rest.
If it were your decision, what would you do in Kent Hughes' place?
In any case, don't be surprised if next Sunday, right around the famous Super Bowl, Jakub Dobes is sent to the Laval Rocket.
It would simply be to allow him to play during the break for the Four Nations Faceoff.
In 7 games with the Montreal Canadiens since his call-up, Dobes has a 5-2-1 record, a 2.45 goals-against average, and a .917 save percentage.
He has truly been excellent.
