New development emerges involving Kaiden Guhle and Canadiens trade talks

We know that the Montreal Canadiens would really like to use their depth on defense in order to acquire an impact forward.
Clearly, other teams know it as well. According to what the excellent Marco D'Amico has just reported, it seems to be confirmed!
Teams have officially contacted Kent Hughes and the Habs about a trade involving Kaiden Guhle. So there is action in this file. The projected return? Yes indeed, an impact forward.

That said, Kent Hughes' response has been clear so far:
"RG can also confirm that Guhle's name has been brought up by other teams for a while. Some Western Conference clubs showed interest in Guhle over the last two offseasons, but were met with an immediate denial.
The Canadiens have made it clear that they believe Guhle to be part of the future in Montreal, as he brings a level of physicality, defensive awareness, and mobility in a package that no other defenseman possesses for the Canadiens at this time.
Guhle is a universally appreciated player across NHL executives when he's healthy and playing, so it only makes sense that they'd shoot their shot.
But as of this time, the Canadiens don't intend on moving such an important piece.
That doesn't mean they don't have other options."

So don't be surprised if Kent Hughes soon trades a defenseman for a forward! He does not want to trade Guhle for the moment, but that doesn't mean he doesn't want to complete a trade involving a defenseman (to acquire a forward). Far from it!
This therefore seems to reinforce the following rumor:
Everything indicates that the St. Louis Blues have an offer on the table (or had an offer on the table) for the Montreal Canadiens, involving Kaiden Guhle and forward Jordan Kyrou.
