Last month, the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, made his first real acquisition of the season.

After passing on him on waivers, Kent Hughes eventually awarded a one-year contract to forward Alexandre Texier.
That said, it is an acquisition that continues to generate reactions, and it notably drew comments from none other than Simon "Snake" Boisvert. The analyst had a lot to say about Kent Hughes' most recent acquisition.

Simon Boisvert has never liked Alexandre Texier

He therefore finds himself in the same camp as Texier's former head coach Jim Montgomery, who clearly was not a fan of Alex Texier.
Indeed, let's just say Snake is not the biggest fan of the CH's new arrival.
"Right now, he's filling a hole because there are injuries, and this year he happened to be available. Let's just say we can already see how this is going to play out.

At some point, he'll make a nice play, he'll score a goal, and everyone will get excited, but the reality is that over 82 games, Alex Texier is not a National League player, because the problem is that he's not a top-six guy, and it's very hard to play on a fourth line since he's not a physical player and not necessarily a super energetic one.

But he does have good hands. Once in a while it'll look spectacular, but I think this is really, really a short-term thing for the Canadiens.

Never liked him. From the moment he arrived."

- Simon Boisvert
Let's just say the message is clear. He states that, over 82 games, Alexandre Texier is not a National Hockey League player, even if he can make a few spectacular plays from time to time. Boisvert mentions that he has never liked him, as a player, and that he believes Texier will simply pass through Montreal, nothing more.
Texier, age 26, has accumulated 1 point in 2 games with the Montreal Canadiens so far this season!
