Goaltender Benjamin Gaudreau Signs with the Montreal Canadiens Organization
In addition to his standout performance with Team Canada, Ben Gaudreau played four seasons with the Sarnia Sting (OHL) before finishing his junior career with the Erie Otters.
In his final junior season, he posted a record of 20 wins, 11 losses, and two overtime losses, with a goals-against average of 3.29 and a save percentage of .890.
He played behind none other than Matthew Schaeffer, the first overall pick in the most recent NHL Draft.
Since then, Gaudreau has appeared in five AHL games with the Rockford IceHogs, posting a 2-2-0 record.
Just a few seasons ago, Gaudreau was considered one of the top goaltending prospects in the entire NHL, so there's definitely some intriguing potential here.
