As reported by TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie, a correction has been announced regarding the call-up of forward Joshua Roy from the Laval Rocket.
However, this emergency recall, which does not count toward the four call-ups allowed by the NHL until the end of the season (for now), could become a regular recall depending on what is announced regarding
Patrik Laine in the coming hours.
Josh was also on the ice for Canadiens practice yesterday.
An emergency recall is permitted by the NHL when there is a risk that a team may have fewer than 12 forwards available for a game, which was the case for the Canadiens yesterday.
With Patrik Laine's flu-like symptoms, along with the more fragile conditions of
Emil Heineman and
Josh Anderson, this risk was very real.
However, if all these players are able to play tonight, Joshua Roy's recall would then become a regular recall.

It is worth noting that NHL teams are only allowed four recalls between the trade deadline and the end of the season.
Joshua Roy emergency recall will be a regular recall if all the Canadiens forwards are healthy.
Patrik Laine was not available last game because he was sick.

This will be a situation to monitor today, but all indications suggest that, in any case, Roy will be in the lineup tonight against the Vancouver Canucks.
As for Patrik Laine, stay tuned..
