Martin St-Louis Makes Unexpected Postgame Statement After Blowout 6-1 Loss to Blues
The head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, Martin St-Louis, gave us a special moment during the press conference after last night's loss.
In fact, we're talking about an intriguing and rather unexpected statement.
Martin St-Louis on tonight's 6-1 loss in St. Louis: "It's not failure tonight. To me, it's fertilizer."
- Martin St-Louis
That said, it's not a statement that everyone agrees with this morning.
A strange statement from Martin St-Louis after the loss to the St. Louis Blues
After the Canadiens' worst game in a while, following a 6-1 defeat and while many expected Martin to be highly critical of his players, this is the statement he made.
Personally, I also would've liked the Canadiens' head coach to be tougher on his players.
I would've liked him to send a message and shake things up a bit, to make sure his players show up against the Philadelphia Flyers tomorrow night-but at the same time, it's consistent with his attitude since the start of the season.
Never too high, never too low emotionally.
One thing's for sure, this is another quote to add to the collection of lines Martin St-Louis has delivered over the years.
There is, however, some great news for the Canadiens after last night's big loss in St-Louis:
We're keeping hope alive, but a big game in Philadelphia is a must win!
Let's hope Martin and his men are ready!
