Probably for the first time since his hiring as head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, Martin St-Louis is being quite severely criticized.
Whether it's for his handling of Arber Xhekaj or his response after Tuesday night's embarrassing loss to the New York Rangers, St-Louis is starting to be seriously questioned by some.
Well, today, he was asked about it, and let's just say he gave a very clear response.
Martin St-Louis Responds Boldly to His Critics
See the excerpts here:
«Why would I listen to a critic from somebody I would never go to advice for?»
- Habs coach Martin St-Louis on the outside noise he's facing
Personally, I'm not fully convinced by this «Aaron Rodgers-style» reply, but I do love the end of his response when he says he sees this as a challenge and mentions that he is generally great at proving those who doubt him wrong.
Now that's an amazing response!
I would have liked this kind of response on Tuesday night after the loss to the New York Rangers, but this is the Martin St-Louis we love.
And you, do you believe MSL will be able to silence his many critics at the moment?
Let's also remember that he had a clear message for his young defenseman Arber Xhekaj, who will be back in the lineup tomorrow night against the St. Louis Blues.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how the team responds tomorrow night, and I feel like it will speak volumes for what comes next.
