Lane Hutson Makes Bold Request to Kent Hughes During Live Press Conference

We witnessed a special moment during young Lane Hutson's press conference today in the Montreal Canadiens locker room.
The young sensation is clearly not ready to leave Montreal.
Right in the middle of the press conference, Hutson admitted that playing for the Canadiens is truly special to him, and he already wants to get his next contract sorted out.. Wow!
If some fans were worried that young talents like Hutson might eventually leave Montreal at the end of their contracts, they can forget about it.
It really looks like Lane Hutson is going to sign an 8-year deal with the Habs this summer.
Lane Hutson already wants to extend his contract with Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens
The message couldn't be clearer!
Lane Hutson today on potentially signing his contract extension this summer and the Habs core moving forward:
"I hope so. It's a special place to play. Having our young core and having guys who are still coming up, I think it's only gonna get younger from here. We're just excited about what the future is gonna hold."
We can definitely expect that contract extension with Lane Hutson and the Habs to get done.
"I would be utterly shocked that the Canadiens will not look to sign Lane Hutson to an extension as soon as he's eligible.
That date is July 1, 2025."

Hutson, 21 years old, recorded 66 points in 82 games this season with the Montreal Canadiens, along with 5 points in 5 playoff games.
