Here's what D'Amico had to say on the topic:
"According to D'Amico, if the Canadiens are willing to part with Joshua Roy, there are teams across the NHL interested in the Quebec native, who has the appeal of having played for Team Canada at the World Juniors and had solid moments in the NHL."

At 21 years old, Joshua Roy recorded 35 points in 47 games this season with the Laval Rocket, including 20 goals. He also added 2 goals in 12 games with the Montreal Canadiens.
Let's not forget, Roy was a 5th-round pick (150th overall) by the Canadiens in 2021-and he wasn't selected by the current front office.
