At the beginning of the month, Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens announced an intriguing acquisition from the St. Louis Blues. In exchange for young defenseman Logan Mailloux, the Habs acquired forward Zachary Bolduc.
For the first time, in the past few hours, Montreal Canadiens Vice President of Hockey Operations Jeff Gorton has commented on the trade.
And to say the least, he's very excited about acquiring a strong forward capable of scoring big goals like Zachary Bolduc.

He shared some interesting comments.
While appearing on the Basu and Godin podcast, Gorton was clear.
"We know he can score, we know his talent, If he grows, gets stronger, and becomes even more complete, he'll be unstoppable."

Arpon Basu mentioned it in his article, but Canadiens management is very happy with their acquisition.
It's no wonder St. Louis Blues fans were upset following the trade.
We can't wait to see what Bolduc will accomplish in Montreal. On a second line with Kirby Dach and Ivan Demidov, the results could be very exciting.
Quietly, Zachary Bolduc recorded 14 points in 19 games-including nine goals-during the final quarter of the 2024-2025 season.
Is that a sign of what's to come?
