As we reported earlier this week, the Montreal Canadiens announced the signing of eight professional tryouts.
We also have the complete list of 23 players who will participate in rookie camp, and we were pleasantly surprised to learn that names like Lane Hutson, David Reinbacher, Logan Mailloux, Owen Beck, and Florian Xhekaj will face off against the Toronto Maple Leafs' prospects.
One of the goaltenders targeted by the Habs for this 2024 rookie camp was the talented Quentin Miller.
However, he has unfortunately just been injured.
The goaltender will therefore miss the rookie camp and will need to be replaced by Kent Hughes.
Miller, 19, is a 6-foot-3, 180-pound goaltender who was drafted 128th overall (4th round) by the Montreal Canadiens in 2023.
His participation in the rookie camp is considered «unlikely.»
Kent Hughes will therefore need to add another goaltender to his lineup for this 2024 rookie camp, as only invited goaltenders were expected.
This is a situation to follow closely in the coming hours.
