In the last few minutes, we reported the rumor that the Montreal Canadiens may seriously be looking to add Evgeny Kuznetsov.
The former Washington Capitals star forward is ready to return to the National Hockey League, and the Canadiens are among the 10 teams that have shown strong interest in signing him.
The connection to young Ivan Demidov is quite obvious, making this a logical addition for Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton.
A One-Year Contract for Evgeny Kuznetsov?
That's exactly the hint Marco D'Amico gives us-he was, let's not forget, the very first journalist to announce Ivan Demidov's big arrival with the Canadiens this past spring.
So he clearly has solid sources there.

We can understand from this that it would be a one-year deal for Kuznetsov, which makes perfect sense.

Despite the acquisitions of players like Noah Dobson and Zachary Bolduc, the Montreal Canadiens are far from done their offseason work.
