Samuel Montembeault continues training in Brossard as the Canadiens play their final game before the holiday break in Boston.

This morning at the CN Sports Complex, Montembeault skated in a Canadiens jersey, but away from the traveling group.
The organization kept him in Quebec to maintain his routine, while the team prepares for its final game before the holiday break.

Samuel Montembeault continues training in Brossard

Montembeault is training once again today with Marco Marciano, the goaltending coach of the Laval Rocket, because Éric Raymond is already on the road.
When your number-one goaltender from last spring stays in Brossard, you know the plan has changed.
Last season, Montembeault played 62 games, with 31 wins, a 2.82 goals-against average, and a .902 save percentage. This season, it's 15 games, 5 wins, a 3.65 goals-against average, and a .857 save percentage.
Tonight, as confirmed yesterday, the net belongs to Jacob Fowler.
The 21-year-old goaltender comes in with a storyline that tells itself: on Saturday, he shut out the Penguins with 31 saves.
In four career games, he already owns a 2-1-1 record, a 2.49 goals-against average, and a .915 save percentage.
The game in Boston for this Boston College product will certainly be very special.
Meanwhile, Phillip Danault will also be in uniform against the Boston Bruins, which adds another layer to the night.
With Montembeault staying back in Brossard and Fowler getting the nod in Boston, the organization is clearly riding the hot hand as it heads into the break. How Fowler responds in a high-profile road matchup will be closely watched.
