The Montreal Canadiens announced some bad news to cap off tonight's nice win against the Boston Bruins.

Alexandre Texier is unfortunately injured. It doesn't look very good for the French forward, but we will certainly keep you updated on every development in this situation.

An injury that raises concern for the very useful forward Alexandre Texier

See the Canadiens' confirmation here.
"Forward Alexandre Texier (upper body) will not return to play in tonight's game."

- Montreal Canadiens
Tuesday night against the Boston Bruins, the forward left the game with an upper-body injury. The organization indicated that he would not return to play after the second period.
This comes at the worst possible time, because the schedule will allow very few full practices before the next game.
With the holiday break, the Canadiens do not play again until Sunday against the Tampa Bay Lightning, which provides a small cushion to evaluate the situation.
At 26 years old, Texier had just started to add some tangible value to his file in Montreal. He signed a one-year contract worth $1 million with the Canadiens on November 23.
Since then, he has mainly served as a temporary solution while the offense has been juggling several absences, but he was seriously starting to become an important part of the Montreal Canadiens' offense.
Let's really hope this isn't too serious for Texier. We'll see if Martin St-Louis has more details to share during his press conference.
Details to follow.
