The right-handed defenseman drafted in 2025 by the Montreal Canadiens is drawing attention because his numbers this season are incredible.
Pickford was selected 81st overall, in the third round. With the Medicine Hat Tigers in the Western Hockey League, he has recorded 25 goals and 44 points in 31 games.
That places him among the most productive defensemen in the league, and it explains why fans are excited about this news.
Last year, Pickford had already made his mark in the spring. He scored 13 goals and 24 points in 18 playoff games, in addition to producing 47 points in 48 regular-season games.
At 19 years old, he also stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs around 185 pounds, a profile that always draws interest when it comes with goal scoring.
