Last night's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs exposed several problems for the Montreal Canadiens, especially on offense.

Unfortunately, once again it's the same player being singled out and continuing to disappoint the experts.

Gilbert Delorme Has a Lot to Say About Patrik Laine

The former Hab sent a clear message to Martin St-Louis: Laine cannot play with Ivan Demidov.
"I don't think Patrik Laine can play with Ivan Demidov at 5-on-5, I don't think so.

Patrik Laine, he needs to be more present at 5-on-5.. Dammit, he doesn't touch the puck, he's lost, he doesn't know where to go..

On the power play, he scores [], but he needs to give us more at 5-on-5..

We need a 1-2 punch. Demidov is part of the 1-2 punch, but on the other side, I don't want to harp on this guy, but..

There's no transition on offense!! It's like there's a 12,000-pound trailer being pulled!

We need a left winger who can keep up with the pace.

Listen, I talked to guys who skated this summer with Patrik Laine, and they told me it's terrible how slow he is!"

- Gilbert Delorme, on BPM Sports

It's all happening right here:
Let's just say the message is very clear!
Do you think Martin St-Louis should separate Ivan Demidov and Patrik Laine to help young Demidov have more impact at 5-on-5?
Could Zachary Bolduc be a better solution on a line with Demidov and Kirby Dach?
