Yesterday evening turned out to be a very difficult one for the Montreal Canadiens. Not only did the team get outclassed by the Toronto Maple Leafs' B or C team, but on top of that, we lost THREE defensemen to injuries.
But beyond that update, Quebec defenseman Mike Matheson gave us more details.
Mike Matheson gives details on the severity of the injuries suffered by Noah Dobson and David Reinbacher
And it's an update we can appreciate, since it is very reassuring.
We can practically understand that, if it had been a regular season game (and not a preseason game), the two young defensemen Dobson and Reinbacher probably would not have left the match.
" I Asked Mike Matheson if he had a sense of deja vu seeing Dobson and Reinbacher leave the game.
He said he didn't and that he didn't think there was anything to worry about.
"Think there's a different threshold of what's worth playing through in pre-season."

We will still monitor these cases over the coming days, but everything indicates that their presence for the first game of the season is not in jeopardy.
As for Kaiden Guhle, it was a similar sentiment coming from Martin St-Louis, who absolutely did not seem worried about the health of his defenseman.
